FRA 224 Reflective Tape is a conspicuity marking tape specifically developed for railway freight cars and locomotives. It must comply with the requirements of the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) 224.
Key requirements are as follows:
1) Color: White, yellow (most common), or fluorescent yellow. The marking “FRA-224” must be printed on the reflective tape.
2) Dimensions: The width of the reflective tape must be exactly 4 inches. Common sizes include 4 in x 150 ft/roll and 4 in x 18 in/piece.
